The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a major new build construction project in regional NSW on a FIFO contract basis. This is an excellent short-term opportunity for a capable engineer who thrives in fast-paced site environments and has a strong background working with tier 1 or tier 2 main contractors across multiple building sectors.
You will play a key role in supporting the project delivery team to ensure the successful execution of works on site, maintaining quality, safety, and programme outcomes.
Responsibilities
* Provide engineering support to the site delivery team across construction activities
* Coordinate subcontractors and trades to ensure works are delivered to programme
* Manage and review RFIs, shop drawings, and technical documentation
* Ensure works are completed in accordance with design specifications and quality standards
* Assist with site inspections, ITPs, and QA documentation
* Monitor construction progress and assist with programme tracking
* Work closely with the Project Engineer and Project Manager to resolve technical issues
* Maintain strong communication with subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams
About You
To Be Successful In This Role You Will Have
* Proven experience as a Site Engineer in the building sector
* Experience working for a main contractor
* Exposure to large-scale new build construction projects
* Experience across multiple sectors (e.g. commercial, residential, health, education, or mixed-use)
* Strong knowledge of site coordination, QA processes, and construction documentation
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
* Ability to work effectively in a remote FIFO project environment
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar
* Demonstrated experience working on major new build projects
* Full Australian working rights
* Ability to mobilise immediately
