We are seeking a seasoned Senior Control Systems Engineer to join our team in Brisbane. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in delivering cutting-edge control and automation systems for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
Job Description:
The Senior Control Systems Engineer will play a pivotal role in the design, integration, and delivery of control and automation systems for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams to support major programs such as DOWSP and PSP, while also contributing to new pursuits across Queensland and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, specification, concept and detailed design, testing, and commissioning of control systems.
* Manage medium-complexity projects and lead teams, including mentoring junior engineers.
* Prepare designs, drawings, specifications, and technical reports, and conduct audits and due diligence.
* Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Control Systems, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering.
* Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status is essential; RPEQ is highly desirable.
* 5–15 years of experience delivering control systems for projects in power generation, oil and gas, and other process industries.
* Proven capability in specification, concept and detailed design, testing, and commissioning.
* Highly desirable technical competencies include Certified Functional Safety Engineer, Hazardous Area – Classification, Design, Installation & Maintenance, Control Systems Maintenance, Proficiency with current DCS, PLC, SIS, SCADA systems, instrumentation, and actuators.
