Overview
UN YPP is a flagship recruitment initiative of the United Nations designed for highly qualified and talented individuals from participating countries to start their careers as International Civil Servants at the United Nations Secretariat. The programme consists of an entry examination and professional development. Selected applicants will be placed on a 2‐year contractual basis at either the P‐1 or P‐2 level. After two years, based on satisfactory performance, applicants may be granted a continuing contract.

Placement Levels
* P1 Level: Applicants holding a bachelor's degree with no work experience.
* P2 Level: Applicants holding a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of work experience, or a master's degree with no work experience.
Eligibility Criteria
* Eligible participating countries.
* Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field.
* No prior work experience required for the P1 level.
* Master's degree or minimum 2 years of work experience required for the P2 level.
* Aged 32 years or younger at the time of examination.
* Proficiency in English or French.
