The newly established Digital Canberra Directorate (DCBR) responsible for overseeing all digital and IT functions across the ACT Public Service, is seeking to appoint an experienced, collaborative and forward-thinking Executive Branch Manager (EBM) to lead the design and delivery of people focused initiatives delivered by the People and Capability Branch (PCB).
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this newly created role will lead and build the DCBR Human Resources (HR) function from the ground up. You will oversee all aspects of HR including policy development, workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, training, employee and industrial relations, work health and safety and culture initiatives.
This influential role will provide the platform to shape workforce strategies, uplift the employee experience and strengthen organisational capability during a period of significant change. You will drive initiatives that enhance performance, embed a values-led culture and support thoughtful people practices. Operating across both strategic and operational levels, you will ensure HR frameworks are robust, compliant and aligned with the long-term direction of the business.
Applicants should have demonstrated leadership experience across all facets of HR, including a deep understanding of HR best practices, legislation and compliance. As well as evidence of their ability to influence and guide at all levels of the organisation. Application of these capabilities during a period of significant changes is advantageous.

Remuneration:
The position attracts a remuneration package ranging from
$289,335 - $298,258
depending on current superannuation arrangements of the successful applicant. This includes a cash component of
$254,964
.
Contract:
The successful applicant will be engaged under a performance-based long-term contract for a period of up to five years. Prospective applicants should be aware that long-term engagements are tabled in the ACT Legislative Assembly.
