Locksmith Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
* Assemble parts and sub-assemblies of locks
* Build lock cylinders and padlocks
* Cut keys
* Repair faulty locks
* Install locks and door furniture
* Perform on-site re-keying and general maintenance and repair of locks and related hardware
* Provide advice and quotations for customer requirements
* Dismantle locks, replace defective parts, and reassemble using hand and power tools and specialized machines
* Install security systems, change locks, cut keys, and open locks by manipulation
Qualifications and Experience:
We are seeking a skilled Locksmith with the following qualifications:
* AQF Certificate III in Locksmithing or equivalent
* At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications
* At least one year of experience preferred
* Knowledge of safe and electronic security installations is an advantage
