Job Title:
Piping & Mechanical Storeperson - Key Responsibilities Include:
* Providing high level customer service to ensure tools, materials and equipment are readily available for consumption into projects.
* Assisting lead roles with day-to-day warehouse and logistics operations.
* Operating powered industrial vehicles (forklifts, pallet jacks) in a safe manner while maintaining an operator license.
* Stowing, picking, packaging, and handling of goods in line with procedures for safe storage and/or transit of goods.
* Liaising with Procurement team ensuring an optimal process on reordering and backordering of goods as well as providing accurate and timely feedback on received goods.
* Ensuring housekeeping standards are adhered to.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
* 5+ years relevant Warehousing and Logistics experience within a Marine Support Engineering Manufacturing or Defence organisation.
* Drivers Licence & Forklift Ticket essential.
* Familiarity with Piping and Mechanical equipment and parts used within the Marine construction field.
* Good technological knowledge of goods materials and/or services procured to ensure satisfactory quality and performance.
* Computer literate with experience with Pronto / IFS would be an advantage.
* Working experience in a computerised ERP environment.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrating a Safe approach to all work conducted.
* Ability to identify and implement workplace improvements in consultation with the Senior Workface Planner.
* Experience using a Warehouse Management System would be advantageous.
* Proactive approach to safety in the workplace.
* Physically fit with the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and to complete required responsibilities in a safe efficient and professional manner.
