Youth Justice Court Advice Worker - Multiple Locations
We are seeking a highly skilled Youth Justice Court Advice Worker to provide expert advice to the court, youth justice staff, services and young people and their families.
The role involves leading day-to-day statutory supervision and case management of young people with complex needs, providing information to clients, their families and carers on procedures, practices, guidelines and legislation relating to the court and The Department, and implementing and reviewing client service plans, programs and services.
The successful candidate will have an advanced understanding of the Youth Justice system, including the principles and philosophy underpinning relevant legislation and the Victorian Youth Justice program, as well as demonstrated knowledge and practice at an advanced level in Youth Justice Case Management and related fields.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Lead day-to-day statutory supervision and case management of young people with complex needs
* Provide information to clients, their families and carers on procedures, practices, guidelines and legislation relating to the court and The Department
* Implement and review client service plans, programs and services
* Implement strategies that address offending behaviour and encourage young people to comply with statutory orders
* About You:
* Advanced understanding of the Youth Justice system, including the principles and philosophy underpinning relevant legislation and the Victorian Youth Justice program
* Demonstrated knowledge and practice at an advanced level in Youth Justice Case Management and related fields
* Understanding of the principles of case management and case work and a range of assessment and interventions relevant to a Young Person's individual circumstances
