Junior Sous Chef - Yarra ValleyLocation : Salary : $70, - $80, Annually + Super Work Type : Full time The RoleReporting directly to Head Chef and working alongside the Sous Chef, you'll play a hands‐on leadership role within a large, professional brigade where positive team culture is not just fostered, but expected.
You'll be involved across : Restaurant, bistro and café service Weddings and large‐scale events Seasonal menu development and specials Maintaining luxury standards of execution and presentation Roster : 4 days on / 3 days off 10‐hour shifts 40 hours capped No split shifts Key Responsibilities Produce consistently high‐quality food across all outlets Support the Head Chef and Sous with daily kitchen operations Supervise, train and mentor junior kitchen staff Assist with menu changes, specials and event menus Maintain food safety, hygiene and WHS standards Stock control, ordering, rotation and stocktakes Cost control, waste minimisation and labour awareness Lead busy services with calm, cleanliness and efficiency About You Minimum 4 years' experience in quality kitchens (multi‐outlet experience highly regarded) Fine dining, luxury or premium hospitality background ideal Strong service leadership skills and attention to detail Passion for high‐quality produce and modern food trends Pastry experience is highly advantageous Confident communicator who thrives in a team‐focused culture Own transport and ability to commute within 40 minutes preferred What's On Offer : Above award salary 3 consecutive days off each week No split shifts & genuine work‐life balance Work under a nurturing Head Chef who fosters positive and inclusive workplace Exposure to premium weddings & events catering Wellness support for staff, including physio and counselling services Long‐term job security within a respected, established venue
