About this role
Our Private Enterprise team is looking for a Business Services Accountant to join our vibrant, friendly Brisbane office.
Business leaders face many challenges throughout the business lifecycle: from managing daily operations, tax and compliance, to navigating a competitive landscape and planning an exit strategy. Key responsibilities
This is a 'hands-on' role involving a varied client portfolio and a broad range of activities, including:
* Work closely with our clients in meeting their accounting and tax compliance requirements, including preparation of financial statements, income tax returns, BAS, FBT and payroll tax returns
* Build collaborative relationships with a broad range of clients, from SMEs to large companies, on a foundation of trust and competency
* Assist with accounting and tax advisory work that supports our clients' business
* Provide developmental support to other team members through coaching and mentoring opportunities as required
Skills and experience
* Qualification(s) and / or professional accreditation(s) in a relevant discipline such as Business / Commerce, Accounting or Finance, or other relevant professional or overseas qualification(s)
* Have commenced (or planning to commence) CA qualification
* Significant professional experience in business and tax advisory within a chartered accounting setting
* Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with a desire to go 'above and beyond' to provide an exceptional client experience
* Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities within a deadline-driven environment
* Experience in the use of Xero accounting software will be highly regarded
