About the Role: ProDetec, a leader in safety and detection solutions, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Fire and Gas Detection Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales of our advanced fire and gas detection products and solutions within Australia. This role requires a dynamic individual who can combine technical expertise with strong sales acumen to meet client needs and achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement effective sales strategies to promote ProDetec's fire and gas detection products across Australia.
2. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expand the customer base, and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
3. Provide expert consultation to customers on product selection, system design, and technical support for fire and gas detection systems.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and customer support, to deliver tailored solutions that meet client requirements.
5. Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.
6. Prepare and deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proposals to prospective clients.
7. Meet or exceed sales targets, track performance metrics, and provide regular sales forecasts and reports to management.
8. Stay updated on relevant regulations, standards, and compliance requirements related to fire and gas detection systems.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Proven experience in sales or business development within the fire and gas detection industry or related sectors. At least 7 years of outside selling in the above industry.
2. Strong technical knowledge of fire and gas detection products and solutions, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build long-term relationships with clients.
4. Ability to work independently and manage a sales pipeline from lead generation to closing.
5. Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-oriented approach.
6. Willingness to travel across Australia to meet clients and attend industry events.
7. Familiarity with Australian safety regulations and standards related to fire and gas detection is a plus.
