With a strong commitment to 24/7 support tailored to individual needs, they are now expanding their team in Sutton Town, South Australia and surrounding areas to meet the growing demand for disability care services.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist clients with daily activities, ensuring engagement and inclusion.
* Support mobility and movement, including prescribed exercises.
* Plan and prepare nutritious meals based on dietary needs.
* Organize social activities and outings to promote well-being.
* Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and comfortable environment.
* Assist with personal hygiene and dressing with dignity and respect.
* Provide emotional support and companionship to foster trust and connection.
* Run errands and shopping for essential needs.
* Administer medications, if required, and maintain records.
* Monitor and document client health, reporting concerns to healthcare professionals.
* Assist with physical therapy exercises to improve strength and mobility.
* Respond to emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
* Coordinate medical appointments and transportation.
* Ensure a safe and comfortable living environment for clients.
Requirements
To be considered, candidates must have:
* A relevant qualification in aged and disabled care
* A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role
* Experience using assistive technologies (wheelchairs, walkers etc.)
* Certification in caregiving, first aid, and CPR
* A clear criminal background check
* Physical fitness for lifting and transferring clients
* Strong communication and documentation skills
* Cultural sensitivity and respect for diverse backgrounds
* Dependability, punctuality, and a passion for making a difference
