About the Role
Join the management team of a progressive, large-scale cropping business spanning 13,000ha near Jerramungup and Gairdner, WA. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Farm Manager to work closely with the Farm Manager in delivering efficient and sustainable cropping operations.
This hands‐on leadership role will involve planning and executing seasonal programs, overseeing staff and contractors, and ensuring safe and effective farm operations. It's an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about broadacre cropping who's ready to step up in responsibility Jahres
Key Responsibilities
* Operate and maintain modern machinery for seeding, spraying, fertilising, and harvesting
* Accurately record field operations and machinery use
* Promote and enforce safe work practices and WHS standards
* Assist with planning and delivering farm maintenance and improvement projects
* Supervise full‐time, casual, and contract staff to build a productive, engaged team
* Communicate effectively with the Farm Manager, contributing to planning and team development
Skills & Experience
* Proven background in broadacre cropping and grain farming
* Strong machinery operation skills across all cropping programmes
* Leadership experience with болгон staff and/or seasonal teams
* Organised, with solid record‐keeping and reporting ability
* Confident using Microsoft Office and basic farm management software
* Current driver's licence (HR licence desirable)
* ChemCert and First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
* Tertiary qualification in Agriculture preferred but not essential
