JBS Brooklyn is looking for a Workplace Trainer and Assessor to join our team based at our Brooklyn Meat Processing Plant. Reporting to the Training Coordinator you will be responsible for contributing to the efficient and successful operations of the Training Department. You would ideally have experience and be willing to work in a production environment and active on the plant when required.
**Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)**:
- Deliver appropriate training and assessments to meet company guidelines
- Administration associated with training
- Ensure compliance with regulations, policies and procedures E.g. Training Policy, Food Safety etc.
- Maintain a current awareness of all policies, systems and manuals that support the above.
- Provide one-on-one tuition and conduct regular checks on new employees.
- Participate in monthly trainer/assessor meetings
- Create work Instructions In line with SOP's and WHS
- Data base knowledge of LMS an advantage but not necessary
**About you**:
- Ensure training materials are maintained in line with business and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively upskill and coach others
- Highly developed time management skills which includes prioritizing and multi-tasking in a diverse environment
- Demonstrated ability to maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work both unsupervised and in a team environment
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE 40116) (TAE LLN411) and Workplace Training would be advantageous
- Sound Microsoft knowledge (Excel & Word)
- Must be creative and flexible in approach to training meeting the needs of our employees and with the company values
- Must have working rights to work in Australia
