This is your invitation to rise above the possible.Job posting end date: 07/08/2025IntroductionWe are seeking a Field Service Supervisor to join our Services team in Mackay. You will be responsible for execution and supervision of the Field Service team at customer sites. You will focus on safety, customer service, and customer satisfaction.In this position, you will report in to the Field Service Manager – East. This role will be based in Mackay and would suit a local resident.What you’ll doResponsible for the supervision of hands-on, mechanical service work at customer sitesSupervise the installation and commissioning of systems, machinery and associated spare parts and wear material componentsProvide technical field service site supportPromote products and services to customersPromote the sales of OEM spare parts and wears material componentsSupport field service technicians and carry out hands on mechanical service work within the customer site or repair facilities if requiredSupport Technical Support Teams on complex issuesEnsure team delivers site reports, time sheets and travel expense reports after each job in a timely mannerSupport quotation work by providing scope of work, initial planning and pricing informationSupport warranty process and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) where applicableAssist the Field Service Coordinator with allocation of work to team membersPromote a proactive safety culture and ensure team follows Metso & customer HSE requirementsEnsure team carries out work in accordance with Metso processes, instructions and training, with a specific focus on our brand requirements, certification principles, field service process and proper utilization of the FSM tool and digital inspection applicationWho you are5 years minimum experience in industrial equipment, technical support and service.At least 2 years of supervisory experienceExperience in troubleshooting technical-field-related problemsAbility to effectively lead and supervise customer/user personnel under various working conditions and hoursAbility to interact, on a technical level with Field Sales, Training, Application & Technical Support groups as well as Parts, Support & Engineering groupsAbility to maintain a steady and level attitude under pressureAbility to read hydraulic schematicsAbility to solve problems and situationsMust be able to pass random medical and drug tests and be able to pass a medical check / be physically fitAbility to travel within short noticeAbility to work away from home, for extended periods and extended hours, on weekends or as requiredWhat's in it for youA work environment where safety is always the number one priority – both your physical and mental health is our priorityA competitive base salary reflective of your skills and experience with annual incentive programAdditional Annual Leave benefit for all permanent and maximum term employeesFlexibility in your working lifestyle – our team manages their own balance of working from home and in our office environmentGender Neutral Paid Parental Leave of 18 weeks at full payPaid Volunteer Leave so you can give back to the local community or an organisation of your choiceCareer development & education assistance to further your technical and leadership ambitionsGet in touchWant to rise above the possible with us?
