As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Trainer Manager to lead, support, and uplift our trainer team while maintaining high standards of training delivery and assessment.
About the Role
This is a leadership role responsible for managing and developing our trainers to ensure best-practice training delivery, strong student engagement, and timely assessment outcomes.
You will sit at the intersection of quality, performance, and people leadership. The role requires someone who is caring and supportive, yet confident in addressing underperformance and driving accountability.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, support, and coach trainers to deliver high-quality, compliant training and assessment
* Upskill trainers through mentoring, feedback, and professional development
* Monitor trainer performance against completion rates, marking timeliness, and learner feedback
* Address trainer underperformance through clear expectations, feedback, and improvement plans
* Manage student load of the training team to balance quality and workload
* Support trainers with complex or challenging student situations
* Act as second-line escalation for trainer-related complaints
* Ensure marking and assessment is completed accurately and on time
* Drive trainer professional development planning and delivery
* Lead moderation and contribute to validation processes in collaboration with the Compliance Officer
* Support recruitment, onboarding, and induction of new trainers
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and culturally safe training environment
Key Performance Indicators
* Student completion rates
* Trainer and student NPS
* Speed and accuracy rates of assessment outcomes
About You
You are an experienced trainer leader who is deeply skilled in both delivering training and developing other trainers.
You bring warmth, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills, balanced with the confidence to set expectations and address underperformance when required.
You will ideally have:
* Significant experience delivering and overseeing vocational training (5+ years)
* Strong capability in training trainers on best practice delivery and assessment
* Experience with the Community Service training package courses (including childcare, aged care and disability care)
* A sound understanding of RTO compliance, moderation, and validation
* Confidence working in a multicultural organisation with diverse learners
* Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills
