Assistant Centre Manager Job Opportunity

Moranbah Early Learning Centre is seeking a dynamic and passionate professional to join our team as an Assistant Centre Manager. This role plays a crucial part in supporting the overall management and operations of the kindergarten, working closely with the Centre Manager to ensure a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for both children and staff.

This position requires a combination of strong leadership skills, organisational acumen, and a genuine passion for early childhood education. As an Assistant Centre Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day management of the kindergarten, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Management Support: Assist the Centre Manager in overseeing the overall operation of the kindergarten, including managing staff, resources, and finances.
2. Policy Development: Collaborate with the Centre Manager to develop and implement policies, procedures, and educational programs that align with the centre's vision and goals.
3. Staff Supervision: Supervise and support teaching staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes professional growth and development.
4. Enrolment and Communication: Oversee the enrolment process, ensuring seamless communication with parents/guardians, and maintaining effective relationships with them.
5. Events and Community Outreach: Coordinate and participate in special events, parent-teacher meetings, and community outreach activities that promote the centre's values and mission.
6. Safety and Cleanliness: Monitor and maintain the safety and cleanliness of the facility, ensuring a healthy and secure environment for children and staff.


Qualifications and Skills:

1. Early Childhood Education: Hold a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
2. Leadership Experience: Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a kindergarten or early childhood education setting.
3. Knowledge and Expertise: Possess strong knowledge of early childhood development principles, curriculum planning, and regulatory requirements.
4. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, parents, and the wider community.
5. Certifications and Checks: Hold a Current Working with Children Check and First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
