Job Description:
We are seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician to perform mechanical and hydraulic tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for mechanics and experience with hydraulic systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform allocated workshop duties, including cylinder overhauls, pump and motor repairs and testing.
* Field service, including scheduled maintenance and servicing, diagnostics and repairs to hydraulic and mechanical equipment.
* Maintain equipment, tools and work area along with good documentation and service records.
* Direct and mentor apprentices when required.
* Regular drug and alcohol testing is mandatory for accessing critical infrastructure sites.
* Hose and tube manufacture.
* Diagnose, troubleshoot and report on equipment following disassembly and inspection.
