This isn't your standard monitoring role - you'll be hands-on across the full project lifecycle, including Study Start-Up, meaning you'll gain greater exposure and experience that sets you up for real career progression (think Project Management opportunities).

What you'll be doingIndependent monitoring of clinical sites across Australia in line with ICH-GCP and local regulationsDriving Study Start-Up activities (ethics submissions, regulatory documentation, essential document collection)Building robust relationships with site staff to ensure high-quality data collection and patient safetyManaging multiple studies across varied therapeutic areas, including complex and innovative protocolsConducting site selection, initiation, monitoring, and close-out visitsPreparing clear and accurate monitoring reports and ensuring timely follow-up and issue resolutionActing as the main point of contact between study sites and the sponsor/CRO teamSupporting trial compliance, identifying risks, and proactively resolving challengesCollaborating with internal Project Managers and cross-functional teams to keep studies on track
What we're looking forMinimum 18 months independent monitoring experience within Australia (CRA II level and above)Proven experience with Study Start-UpSolid knowledge of ICH-GCP, TGA/CTN/CTA requirements, and local health authority guidelinesAbility to manage multiple priorities, with strong organisational and problem-solving skillsConfident communicator who can build and maintain professional relationships with site staffDetail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working independently as well as part of a collaborative teamLife science degree (or equivalent) is requiredFlexibility to travel as needed across Australia
