What We Are Looking For
Charles River is seeking an experienced Implementation Project Manager. This role is a high‐impact, hands‐on leadership position responsible for managing projects in the investment trading space ranging from medium‐sized implementations with up to three workstreams to large multi‐million‐dollar projects, and contributing to the Project Management Practice through various initiatives.

* Manage and control the project plan and remain within budget.
* Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis to ensure expectations are met.
* For large client implementations, oversee management of scope, schedule, cost, quality, and resources, proactively monitor and mitigate issues and risks, manage milestones, understand critical path, and communicate status at all levels.
* Facilitate project review processes at management level, ensuring issues are elevated to management timely and leading formal or ad‐hoc internal processes regarding decision points or issue resolution.
* Advise project managers and their teams on best practices and act as the first point of contact for program/project management questions.
* Share lessons learned and best practices across programs and projects, building relationships with stakeholders to promote efficiency in day‐to‐day project management processes.
* Improve implementation methodology and build a library of standard project plans, collateral, and tools mapped to each phase of the methodology, creating an implementation toolkit hosted on a collaboration site like SharePoint.
What We Value
* Minimum of 10 years of experience implementing mission‐critical financial solutions, ideally investment management software or an order‐management and compliance system.
* Understanding of multi‐tier technical architectures.
* A strong record of customer service in large implementation efforts and the ability to build effective relationships, convey plans, issues, and concerns to clients and team members clearly, and influence key decision‐makers both internally and externally.
* Customer‐driven mindset, ability to work within a team environment, and focus on high‐quality service.
* Strong time‐management skills, able to manage multiple projects in parallel.
* Strong problem‐solving and analytical skills.
Education & Preferred Qualifications
* Four‐year degree in a business or technical field such as Finance, Mathematical Finance, Economics, Engineering, or Computer Science.
* Advanced degree or industry certification such as CFA or CAIA is a strong plus.
