Overview
We are looking for an Energetic & Enthusiastic individual to become part of our team. As the Senior Accountant/Finance Manager your role will primarily utilise your strong technical accounting background and understanding of the application of technical accounting standards to support the CFO in the timely preparation of month end financials. You will assist the finance team with maintaining general ledgers and bank reconciliations and the day-to-day management of company financial and accounting processes together with the provision of advice for the CFO on all financial activities and performance of the company. You will be a “Finance-All-Rounder”, willing to assist and provide support across the entire finance team. You will also assist with various administration tasks when required.
Prior experience in a similar finance focused role is mandatory. Fashion Industry experience is a bonus.
To be successful in this role you will need to have excellent time management skills and have the ability to show initiative and use common sense and use your exceptional communication skills at all times.
Additionally, you will be/have;
Responsibilities
- Delivery of the month-end close process and the day-to-day accounting processes of multiple entities, including preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparing and posting accruals, prepayments, recharges, amortisations and other journals
- Ensuring all intercompany transactions are correctly processed
- Preparation of statutory reports and assist audit activities as required
- Preparation of management reporting to key stakeholders, including detailed insights into operations and results
- Ownership of General Ledger structure and associated reporting
- Regular review of the Group Consolidated Balance Sheet
- Ad-hoc involvement and support in wider finance projects
- Providing day-to-day financial support of the Finance Team, ensuring key monthly, quarterly and annual deadlines are achieved
- BAS/IAS preparation and lodgement on ATO portal
- Assist in the maintenance of group suppliers, and accounts receivable
- Design, implement and maintain internal controls and continuous improvement opportunities across different finance processes
- Support the Year End reporting and Audit processes including the preparation of financial statements
- Assist the Finance Team with ad hoc duties as required
Qualifications
- 4+ years\' of professional accounting experience
- Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
- CA preferred
