Overview
UGL is seeking expressions of interest for experienced and safety-conscious Abrasive Blasters and Industrial Painters to join our team at BP Kwinana, Kwinana Beach, Western Australia. This casual engagement starts the 1st week of November for a 38-hour work week with regular rostered overtime up to 48 hours (Mon–Thu 10 hours per day, Fri 8 hours per day).
Responsibilities
- Perform abrasive blasting (grit/sand blasting) to clean and prepare metal surfaces in accordance with industry standards.
- Apply industrial coatings, primers, and protective paints using airless or conventional spray equipment.
- Read and interpret job specifications and coating system requirements.
- Ensure surface preparation and coating applications meet quality assurance and safety standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of painted surfaces for quality control.
- Operate and maintain blasting and painting equipment safely and effectively.
About You
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in industrial abrasive blasting and painting.
- Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in surface preparation and painting.
- Must have White Card (Construction Induction Card).
- Current Driver's License.
- Must have Working at Heights, Confined Space and Gas Test Atmosphere within the last 2 years.
- Ability to pass a VOC test.
