Propharma Australia Pty Ltd is a family run business which has been in operation for over 50 years. We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Animal Nutritionist with strong commercial acumen to join our team. This role blends technical expertise in animal nutrition with a proactive sales approach to support clients across the livestock, veterinary, and pet care sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing nutritional advice, promoting our own product range as well as developing formulations for our customers and driving sales growth through relationship management and strategic outreach.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
* Providing expert nutritional guidance to clients, including farmers, veterinarians, and distributors.
* Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
* Promoting and selling our own product lines.
* Attending industry events, trade shows, and seminars to represent the company and build awareness.
* Maintaining accurate records of client interactions, sales activities and market feedback.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Science, or related field.
* Minimum 2–3 years' experience in animal nutrition, with a proven track record in sales or account management.
* Strong understanding of livestock or companion animal health and nutrition.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Knowledge of SAP Business 1 with Batchmaster an advantage
* Ability to work independently and travel as required.
