Our client is seeking a L2 Desktop Support Engineer with proven experience for an initial 3 month contract starting mid December based in BrisbaneValid work visa or eligibility to work in Australia is required for this role.With strong customer service skills and solid Level 2 technical experience supporting staff.
You'll be the go-to person for onsite IT support, helping to keep operations running smoothly and users productive.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide face-to-face support for walk-in staff with hardware and software issues, including password resets, Remote Desktop access, and application support.Manage, and resolve incidents and service requests.Assist with the administration of Windows 11, Office 365, and Office ****, active directory including user account management and troubleshooting.Configure, set up, and maintain desktop hardware; build and deploy new machines as needed.Installation and patching of network devicesTriage issues and upscale more complex problems to Tier 3 teams.Manage the local service queue, ensuring timely responses and resolutions.Offer basic training and guidance to users, helping them get the most out of their IT tools.Maintain and contribute to an internal knowledge base to support team learning and consistency.Work independently on-site while building effective relationships with both local staff and remote IT teams.What You'll BringMinimum 2 years of Level 2 desktop support experience is required.A working knowledge of IT service management tools and structured support environments.Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.A proactive attitude and the ability to manage your own workload.
