Full Job Description With a reputation built on quality workmanship, safety, and reliability, we are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HSE Coordinator to support the implementation and continuous improvement of Health, Safety, and Environmental systems across our Adelaide-based workshop and site operations. The successful candidate will assist with compliance activities, incident investigations, risk assessments, safety reporting, training coordination, and promoting a positive safety culture. This hands-on role requires regular engagement with both workshop personnel and site-based teams to ensure safe and compliant work practices. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a solid understanding of HSE principles, and a commitment to maintaining safe and compliant workplaces. Key Responsibilities Implement and monitor Shadbolt HSE Management System and client-specific HSE procedures. Coordinate and support HSE activities across workshop and site operations. Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments Support preparation and review of SWMS, JHAs, risk assessments, and permits. Identify site hazards, assess risks, and recommend controls. Assist with incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions. Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, and verify personnel competencies. Support environmental compliance, audits, and pollution prevention measures. Assist in emergency preparedness and response procedures. Support return-to-work (RTW) cases, including documentation, communication with stakeholders, and implementation of suitable duties plans. Promote a positive safety culture through regular engagement with employees and contractors. Skills & Requirements Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or related discipline. A solid understanding of WHS legislation, Codes of Practice, and HSE policies. Minimum 3 years’ experience in an HSE Coordinator role within site and workshop environments. Experience in hazard identification, risk assessments, incident investigations, and compliance reporting. ICAM or similar investigation training (desirable) Strong administration and coordination skills with attention to detail. Proactive, organised, and adaptable in dynamic site environments. Experience or training as a Return-to-Work Coordinator (desirable). Ability to coordinate and deliver engaging HSE training across site and workshop environments. Detail-oriented with a proactive, hands-on approach A customer service focus and the ability to work independently and within a team.
