About the role
As a member of the Trade Counter team (known as Branch Staff) at the Adelaide branch, you will partner with branch leaders and the team to expedite your knowledge. Your day-to-day tasks include providing customer service, assisting tradespeople with product selection, quoting, pick‐packing, stock control, keeping the branch tidy and safe, delivering to customers using a company vehicle, and continuing to upskill through tailored on‐the‐job training.
Responsibilities
* Provide customer service and information about products, both in person and over the phone
* Provide quotes for building and renovation projects
* Pick and pack orders and manage stock control activities
* Maintain shop‐floor displays and ensure information provided is accurate
* Keep the branch tidy and safe
* Make deliveries to customers using a company vehicle
* Continue upskilling with on‐the‐job training initiatives
Qualifications
* Previous experience in retail sales or customer service and enjoys helping customers both in person and over the phone
* Ability to pick orders, maintain shop‐floor displays and ensure information provided is accurate
* Comfortable using a computer and willing to learn new systems
* Clean, valid driver's licence and willingness to work various shifts, including weekends
* Interest in developing a career either locally or within the broader network
