The Role
The Project Engineer / Project Support will work alongside and assist Project Managers throughout the entire project lifecycle. This role will be involved in project coordination, contract administration, procurement, cost and risk management.
This role is suited to someone technical with a strong focus on compliance. Someone who wants to work within an integrated, multi-disciplinary business and be directly involved in major infrastructure delivery.
Key Focus
* Collaborate with project managers and support the development of project plans, timelines, and milestones.
* Tracking of project performance using our project management systems and assist Project Managers to report on project delivery milestones.
* Act as a primary point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders and proactively update all stakeholders of project progress updates.
* Assist in the allocation of equipment and materials required for project execution.
* Coordinate procurement activities, including obtaining quotes, issuing purchase orders, tracking deliveries and processing project invoices.
* Provide general administrative support to Project Managers, including maintenance of project documentation, record management tasks, invoicing and other ad hoc activities as required.
* Ensure records and procedures adhere to Quality Assurance principles and the company’s ISO accredited IMS.
* Develop and improve processes to enhance efficiency.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* 5+ years of experience in a similar role within the civil infrastructure, utilities, energy, or construction industry.
* Exposure to large scale Infrastructure projects in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 environment.
* Experience working within an ISO accredited Quality Management System.
* Exposure to Primavera P6 or project scheduling tools (highly regarded).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and strong written communication with an ability to present information in a clear and professional manner.
* Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build a positive rapport with a broad range of people.
* Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality in your work.
* A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
