Locum Interventional Cardiologist – Darwin, NT
Expressions of interest are invited from experienced Interventional Cardiologists to provide locum cover from 8–28 January 2026 in Darwin, Northern Territory.
You will join a highly regarded cardiology team delivering comprehensive public and private cardiac services across the Top End. Based at a modern cardiac facility adjacent to a major hospital, you will work within a fully equipped service providing diagnostics, angiography, and angioplasty procedures to a diverse patient population across urban, regional, and remote communities.
The role is suited to a cardiologist experienced in interventional cardiology, who can work independently while contributing to a supportive and collaborative team environment.
Requirements
1. FRACP (Cardiology)
2. AHPRA specialist registration
3. Current advanced interventional cardiology qualification
Full coverage over the stated period is preferred; however, weekly or partial commitments will also be considered. Flexible arrangements, travel and accommodation support, and competitive remuneration are available.
Payment Arrangements
4. Regular business hours (8am–5pm, Monday–Friday, or adjusted by mutual agreement): fixed daily payment of $3,000 + GST per day.
5. Outside regular business hours (overnight, weekends, or Public Holiday call outs): payment at 100% of the applicable MBS fee. Where there are no call outs, a minimum guaranteed on-call allowance of $500 + GST per day applies.
6. Travel costs (flights, accommodation, and local transport to/from the hospital and airports) will be reimbursed upon presentation of receipts.
