An established Australian construction contractor is seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to lead environmental compliance and performance across live construction projects. This role suits a hands‐on professional who enjoys site engagement, systems management, and working closely with project teams.
The Opportunity
Reporting into senior operational leadership, you will be responsible for managing all environmental compliance, systems, reporting, and performance across projects and corporate operations. You will play a key leadership role in embedding best‐practice environmental management aligned with ISO 14001, legislative requirements, and client standards.
This position requires regular access to live construction sites and strong engagement with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients.

About You
You are a confident and detail‐oriented environmental professional with strong construction industry experience and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
You will bring:
* A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
* Strong working knowledge of Federal, State, and Territory environmental legislation
* Demonstrated experience working within ISO 14001‐aligned management systems
* Proven experience preparing Construction Environmental Management Plans
* Minimum 5 years' experience in the construction or civil infrastructure sector
* Strong audit, investigation, reporting, and documentation skills
* Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder engagement abilities
* High attention to detail and advanced computer literacy
