About The Role
As BUMA Australia grows, we are seeking a full‑time HV Electrician to join our team. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this role is permanent, full‑time, operating on a lifestyle roster.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct servicing, repair, and maintenance of heavy mobile mining machinery.
* Conduct servicing, repair, and maintenance of commercial and industrial installations.
* Use various technologies to investigate and diagnose equipment faults; ensure repairs are carried out in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications.
* Complete scheduled maintenance, field breakdowns, servicing – inclusive of component change outs and statutory electrical testing.
* Ensure electrical safety is paramount in the execution of all electrical work.
* Be a proactive part of the site's electrical team in identifying improvements.
* Will perform supervisory tasks when required.
About You – Qualifications
* An Australian Trade Qualification.
* Current QLD Electrical Licence or equivalent.
* Exposure to a heavy industry environment in a similar role.
* Competency in use of diagnostic tools.
* Electric Drive Haul truck experience.
* HV Switching qualifications.
* High level of diagnostic skills and schematic knowledge.
* Experience with Electric Haulage systems on Mining Equipment.
* Safety focus with high attention to detail and adherence to site safety processes.

Located in Central Queensland, Blackwater Mine is one of the state's largest coal mines, just 21 km from Blackwater.
