Position Overview:
The Marketing Assistant's primary function is to assist with College communications, specifically digital marketing
communications, social media, and website management. Additionally, this role provides technical and planning
support for College events and promotional activities.
The three key functions of the role are:
People: Support effective and on-brand corporate communications. To ensure a welcoming environment when
participating in school events and community engagement.
Process: Apply effective, efficient, and measurable digital communications processes to support the school's
engagement with current and future community members.
Communications & Technical: Craft high-quality and well-timed digital communications and provide technical
support for event production that supports the school's brand and message.

Nowra Anglican College is a dynamic P-12 school located in the beautiful Shoalhaven. The College is in an exciting
stage in its life, experiencing rapid growth as it implements its strategic plan to foster high-quality learning and the
development of the whole child.
The area is a fast-growing regional centre in NSW with a diverse range of employment and recreational activities

Involvement in the Life
of the School
The Marketing Assistant will be a member of the following:
* Professional and Operational Staff team
All staff are required to
* Attend Staff Devotions.
* Attend other staff meetings and committee meetings when required.
* Perform other duties that are deemed appropriate by and in negotiation with
the Director of Business or Principal, as required from time to time.
Duties - People The Marketing Assistant is expected to contribute to ensuring that the College is a welcoming
community where all individuals are valued and belong.
* Ensure that staff, students, and parents have a positive experience as they interact
with the Marketing and Community Relations team.
* Participate in regular team meetings.
* Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and uphold the College's Privacy
Policy.
Duties - Process The Marketing Assistant will support the smooth running of the school with efficient and
effective processes:
* Support the smooth running of the school with efficient and effective digital
processes.
* Manage digital asset libraries (photos and videos) for easy retrieval and use.
* Assist the Director of Business on other tasks as requested.
Duties -
Communication
* Assist in the production of the NAC News termly magazine, as a celebration of school
events and student success.
* Produce on-message social media content and manage posting schedules.
* Assist in website management and content updates.
* Assist in photography and videography at school events.
* Provide technical support for events, including AV coordination and digital media
setup.
* Assist in school promotions and major enrolment campaigns.

students and the wider community.
* Encourage students to know and live the College values in all aspects of their lives.
* Encourage students to wear the College uniform correctly and with pride.
* Model and uphold a high standard of professional behaviour.
Key Selection Criteria Supportive of the Christian ethos and independent nature of the College.
* Diploma or Degree qualified in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or
equivalent experience.
* Evidence of excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Demonstrated experience in digital content creation (social media, photo,
and video).
* Proficiency in website management and digital marketing tools.
* Ability to provide technical support and coordination for events.
* Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, set priorities, and meet
deadlines.

Experience marketing within an education context.
Workplace Health and
Safety
The Community Relations Assistant will comply with all relevant policies and procedures
relating to Workplace Health & Safety and report all hazards and unsafe workplace practices
to the Health & Safety Committee.
Working with Children
Check
The Community Relations Assistant will have Paid Employee Working with Children Check
clearance and comply with all relevant policies relating to Working with Children.
Child Safe Nowra Anglican College is a Child Safe school. All staff are expected to know and adhere to
the NSW Child Safe standards. In addition this role has a specific responsibility in relation to
Standard 8 (Safe Physical and Online Environments): Ensure all digital content
(photography, social media, and website) adheres to the College's Privacy Policy and Child
Safe Code of Conduct, ensuring students' dignity and safety are prioritised in all
promotional materials.
Performance Review All members of staff will undertake an annual Performance Review which is designed to
strengthen workplace relationships, career development and effective workplace
participation.
Hours of Work The hours of work will normally be during the School Office open hours from 8:00am to
4:06pm, Monday to Friday (on the candidates preferred days). In addition, the Marketing
Assistant may be required to work flexibly around key events and activities including
after-hours or occasionally on weekends (e.g. Open Day, major school events) and will be by
mutual agreement with the Director of Business.
