We have an exciting 12‐month contract opportunity reporting to the Capital Engineering Manager, as Project Engineer where you will contribute to the ANZ ISC and Suttontown Strategy of growth and operational excellence by leading the design, management, and delivery of a portfolio of business‐critical capital projects. The core focus of the role is to provide business solutions through capital‐related change and investment projects.
This role executes capital projects in line with the yearly capital investment plan and develops technical projects over a multi‐year horizon with support of the Capital Engineering Manager and other stakeholders. Key role is to lead/partner with the larger project team to provide process and/or technical solutions and drive progress towards world‐class manufacturing while following the highest level of quality and employee safety standards. The Project Engineer will also ensure effective communication to and through functional and other senior stakeholders.
How you will contribute
* Provide project and engineering support to the site team including feasibility studies, business case development, project planning and project implementation.
* Scoping and costing of capital projects including development of the business case in liaison with BD and Operations team.
* Engineering for development, execution and close‐out of the technical part of the project with country, regional, and global engineering support.
* Negotiation and management of contracts for the supply of equipment and services, including partnering with relevant internal stakeholders (e.g., Legal) to draft project‐specific contracts to mitigate risks.
* Follow internal systems and best‐practice project management methodologies to execute projects with excellence, meeting time, quality, and cost targets. Support continual improvement of our procedures and systems, to maintain best practice including Health and Safety, Food Safety and Environmental, and Energy management as they relate to this role.
* Champion standardisation of equipment and components in line with Engineering, HSE, Quality and other company guidelines.
What you will bring
A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career. You will bring experience and knowledge in:
* Minimum 2–5 years' experience in engineering studies and project engineering and/or manufacturing assignments.
* Knowledge of the following product technologies: predominantly food industry with knowledge of plant operation, manufacturing process.
* Working knowledge of engineering processes, policies and procedures (Project Management, Finance, Procurement, Operations P&L, capacity, mass balance, management, GMP, Quality, HSSE).
* Experience in Process, Packaging, Automation, Mechanical, Electrical or Infrastructure projects.
* Proven experience in project management methodology.
* Presentation training.
* Knowledge of MS Office, MS Project, SAP, AutoCAD.
* Knowledge of financial calculation and assessment tools.
* Having technical knowledge in dairy/food manufacturing is highly advantageous.
* Some experience in food processing and packaging technology as well as with suppliers of the respective equipment.
* Experience managing 3rd party and project teams reporting through to senior stakeholders; strong conceptual and analytic skills – enjoys problem‐solving.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to drive effective discussions with project resources across the business.
* Excellent project planning and proactiveness in identifying risks and mitigations and managing strict timelines.

Education / Certifications
* Process or Mechanical Engineering degree, or equivalent knowledge via Diploma in engineering, process technology or food technology.
* An engineering degree recognised by Engineers Australia Institute is required to be considered for this position; chemical, mechanical or electrical.
