About the role
We're seeking a proactive Remote Hands IT Technician to join our high-performing team. This full-time role is based in Sydney, with on-site work across the greater region supporting our valued customers and secure client environments.
As a critical extension of our Remote Hands, Operations and Support teams, you'll deliver hands-on, on-site technical support across infrastructure, end-user devices, and networking environments. You'll play a key role in incident resolution, project delivery, and service continuity, helping Alliance SI maintain its reputation as a trusted partner in secure, mission-critical technology environments.

In this role, you will
* Perform on-site patching, structured cabling, and equipment installations across client environments.
* Install, relocate, and replace IT and network equipment, including workstations, racks, and peripherals.
* Provide hands-on support for incidents, service requests, and remediation tasks requiring physical presence.
* Assist remote and project teams by executing on-site activities accurately and efficiently.
* Maintain accurate documentation, asset records, and job updates in line with service and security requirements.
About you
* You're an experienced field or support technician with hands-on expertise in patching, cabling, and equipment installations.
* You're eligible to undergo and maintain an NV1 security clearance. It is highly regarded if already held.
* You take pride in accuracy and workmanship, with strong communication skills when engaging users and support teams.
* You're comfortable managing multiple site visits, priorities, and timeframes in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
* You follow procedures closely and demonstrate sound judgement when working in secure or regulated environments.
* You're proactive and solutions-focused, able to troubleshoot issues and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
* You're collaborative, reliable, and approachable, representing Alliance SI's values on-site and contributing to continuous improvement.
