This role involves providing strategic financial leadership across the Archdiocese. The incumbent will oversee governance, risk management, budgeting, financial reporting, internal audit, and continuous improvement initiatives. They will work closely with senior leaders to ensure financial compliance, sustainability, and best practice, while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence.
The successful candidate will be a values-driven, CPA/CA qualified finance professional with significant senior leadership experience in large, complex, and regulated environments. Proven expertise in financial governance, strategic planning, risk management, and insurance is essential, as is the ability to lead and inspire high-performing teams. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, combined with a commitment to service and ethical leadership, are vital to this role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversight of governance, risk management, budgeting, financial reporting, internal audit, and continuous improvement initiatives
* Ensuring financial compliance, sustainability, and best practice through collaboration with senior leaders
* Fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence
* Supporting key governance bodies, including the Diocesan Finance Council and its subcommittees
* Playing a pivotal role in long-term strategic planning and risk management
Requirements:
* Values-driven, CPA/CA qualified finance professional
* Significant senior leadership experience in large, complex, and regulated environments
* Proven expertise in financial governance, strategic planning, risk management, and insurance
* Ability to lead and inspire high-performing teams

Experience in the not-for-profit, education, religious, or community sectors will be highly regarded.
