Sustainability Engineering Roles at Service Stream
This role is an exciting opportunity for a Sustainability Engineer to join our Defence division and support us on this new contract.
The successful candidate will be identifying and mitigating important environmental risks related to the maintenance of the Defence estate and delivery services.
About the Role:
* Aligning practices with national waste policy and waste minimisation targets
* Identifying opportunities for savings and implementing improvements to energy consumption in line with contract deliverables
* Identifying and mitigating key environmental risks related to the maintenance of defence estate and delivery of services
* Implementing environmental management practices in accordance with Environmental Management Plan (EMP)
* Conducting comprehensive audits of energy, water, and waste management including feasibility studies, technology/product reviews, and building ratings
* Overseeing the collection, analysis, and reporting of energy, water and waste data to optimise performance and provide accurate and actionable insights
About You:
* Tertiary qualification in Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field
* Professional certification in environmental management or sustainability is highly desirable
* Experience in implementing and maintaining environmental management systems and familiarity with statutory and Defence's energy, water, and waste management requirements
* Experience in leading and managing sustainability initiatives and projects
* Experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting for environmental performance
* Proven ability to identify and mitigate environmental risks
* Proven track record in conducting assessments and audits related to energy, water, and waste management
You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
