About the opportunity

As the Senior Education Design Officer working in the Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor Indigenous (Academic), you will collaborate with academics to design and implement projects to Indigenise the curriculum, create engaging learning resources, and deliver impactful cultural competence training. You'll also influence policy, support strategic initiatives, and drive continuous improvement in Indigenous education design.

Your key responsibilities will be to:
* work in a collaborative and cohesive team environment reporting into the Education Manager, working closely with key stakeholders to support strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with university policies on culture and education
* guide academic staff in designing and implementing projects to Indigenise the curriculum, ensuring high-quality outcomes and compliance with cultural and intellectual property rights
* design, test, and implement innovative learning materials and tools that support culturally inclusive education
* develop and deliver training programs that enhance cultural awareness and pedagogical innovation for educators
* oversee and evaluate projects, contributing to best practices and continuous improvement in cultural education design
About you
* bachelor's degree in Education or related area
* higher education experience would be highly regarded
* demonstrated ability to design educational resources
* previous experience in drawing from cultural and pedagogical principles to shape best-practice approaches to embed first nations knowledge, content, and learning methods across curriculum.
* previous experience designing and running small workshops and training sessions, with the ability to present information in a non-technical format
* IT proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite, and with content management systems like Canvas or Sharepoint
* knowledge of project management tools and frameworks, with the ability to manage educational projects from end-to-end
* strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build rapport with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
