We are seeking a committed and motivated Child Care Centre Director to co-lead our vibrant service in Port Hedland, WA, working collaboratively alongside our existing Director, who operates on a FIFO arrangement. About the Role
In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the centre in partnership with the existing Director, ensuring all regulatory and compliance requirements are met while maintaining excellence in educational practice. You will lead, mentor, and support a team of educators, foster strong and respectful relationships with families, and promote an inclusive, welcoming environment for children, staff, and the wider community. You will also play an active role in our innovative, state-of-the-art child development expansion program, as well as contribute to the ongoing growth and expansion of the centre.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and mentor a team of dedicated educators to deliver high-quality early childhood education and care.
* Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), Education and Care Services National Regulations, and other relevant legislation.
* Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, families, staff, and the local community.
* Oversee curriculum planning and ensure educational programs align with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
* Manage the centre’s operational and financial performance to meet business objectives.
* Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment that supports children’s learning and development.
* Prepare reports and attend Board and Committee meetings.
About You
* Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent qualification as recognized by ACECQA).
* Proven experience in a Centre Director or leadership role within an early childhood setting.
* Strong knowledge of the NQF, EYLF, and relevant regulations.
* Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to inspire and support a team to achieve excellence.
* A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to creating a positive and enriching environment for children.
