The role of the Education Support Class (ES) is multifaceted. Firstly, ES will work under the supervision of a teacher to perform tasks as directed, contributing to the provision of quality teaching and learning programs for students with varying abilities.
This ES will have responsibility for working with individual or small groups of students who require additional educational support. They will engage with students in meaningful and structured learning activities that cater for different learning styles and needs.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role. The ES must be able to communicate effectively and respectfully with students, teachers, parents/carers, and other school staff, both verbally and in writing.
Furthermore, the ES must remain alert and active throughout the work period and provide emergency first aid if required.
The successful candidate will possess excellent organizational and time management skills, enabling them to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
They will also demonstrate a strong commitment to student-centered learning and a passion for education.
In addition, they must be able to work collaboratively as part of a team, providing support and guidance to colleagues as needed.
