Electrical Field Specialist Job Description
This role requires project field engineering expertise with work planning, material management, quantity verification and validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and subcontract coordination. Your recommendations will ensure field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements.
1. Develops construction drawings and sketches.
2. Leads the creation of construction drawings, schedules, and temporary construction facility designs to ensure accurate preparation of "as built" drawings and job plans.
3. Prepares, reviews, and approves Electrical work packages.
4. Applies Bechtel's SWPPs, project specifications, procedures, applicable codes, and drawings to meet construction installation requirements.
5. Conducts in-progress and final quality and completeness inspections of Electrical and Instrumentation installations.
6. Develops punch lists and monitors completion of punch items.
7. Prepares and disposes Request for Information (RFI's), Field Change Documents (FCD's) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs). Collaborates with design engineering through final disposition.
8. Covers E&I design and constructability issues with engineering support.
9. Resolves vendor and Modyard carryover works, NCRs, and necessary documentations.
10. Provides technical assistance to superintendents, supervisors, and craft professionals.
