We are looking for an experienced Rope Access Technician to join our Mining - Geotechnical team at our QLD & NSW operations.
Casual positions available. FIFO ex Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane. Roster is 2:1 (weeks) - day shift only.
**The Role**
This role involves using specialized techniques and equipment to access and perform tasks in challenging environments.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Conduct rope access works, ensuring projects run smoothly and according to scope
- Rope access equipment inspections and pre-use checks
- Installation of ground support anchors
- Installation of ground support mesh and accessories
- Mixing grout to specification
- Implement testing where required/requested
- Liaising with the Site Manager/Supervisor regarding any issues
- Operating equipment such as pneumatic drills, telehandler, light vehicle, and service trucks
- Maintaining all equipment
**The successful applicant will have**:
- Rope Access Level 1, 2 or 3 IRATA Certification
- Geotechnical experience
- C Class Drivers Licence (Manual)
- First Aid & CPR Certification
- Work Safely at Heights Certification
- Good communication and organisational skills, with an emphasis on teamwork
- A positive attitude towards safety, training & environment
- Pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol assessment
- Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
**Desirables**
- Elevated Work Platform Certification
- Heavy Rigid (HR) Licence
- Rigging Licence
