About your opportunity: The Director Cardiac Investigations Unit reports to the Director of Cardiology Services and is the professional lead and expert resource in a complex and diverse environment, accountable for Cardiac Science services within the hospital and health service in addition to clinical consultancy, advocacy, and leadership across the state. About your role: Provide formal, consultant level clinical services, including authoritative clinical advice to stakeholders and patients and utilising expert command of specialised clinical measurement techniques in cardiology. Follow defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces. Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and take reasonable care to ensure that your acts or omissions do not adversely affect the health and safety of others. Provide authoritative counsel to management, patients and to stakeholders both within and outside the discipline in matters relating to clinical cardiac investigations and service delivery. Advocate and influence the strategic and operational direction for cardiac clinical measurement services, using negotiation and conflict management skills with relevant stakeholders to align the service and influence the culture towards a common vision, direction, and ethical framework. Utilise high-level negotiation and conflict management skills to advocate for necessary resources to support Cardiac and Surgical Investigations. Collaborating with senior management to ensure effective cooperation across the Cardiac and Surgical Investigations Unit to enhance service delivery, improve quality outcomes, and ensure timely access to services.
