Operational Fleet Assistant, Clerk Grade 1/2 - Multiple casual positions

* Casual role - the role will provide fleet support during operational periods and ad-hoc support of the fleet transport capability. The role will include short periods of travel across the state and interstate as needed.

About the opportunity

We are currently recruiting to fill multiple casual roles for the Operation Fleet Assistant roles within our State Warehouse.

The Operational Fleet Assistant, part of the Fleet Services team, provides on-the-ground support to ensure both new and existing assets are fully operational and ready. They assist with the reallocation or decommissioning of fleet assets, coordinating with external suppliers and contractors to ensure these processes are conducted safely, promptly, and effectively.

Based on site at the NSW SES Warehouse, the Operational Fleet Assistant offers hands-on support and exceptional customer service to the NSW SES, its clients, volunteers, and the public, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the fleet at that location.

About you

To be successful in this role you will:

* Have excellent computer skills including the ability to touch type (with speed and accuracy) and be able to demonstrate competence with Windows based computer applications.
* Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Possess organisational skills including efficient time management, an ability to prioritise tasks and work within defined procedures.
* A current HR driver's license, and an understanding of national heavy vehicle legislation and chain of responsibility
* First aid certificate, or willingness to obtain within 3 months.
* Forklift licence, or willingness to obtain within 3 months.
* Prepare, maintain and test response equipment certificate (or equivalent), or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
* A current HC driver's license highly desirable or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
* Thorough knowledge of AIIMS principles and processes, and/or willingness to obtain competence within 12 Months.
