The Role
Join Story Lab's dynamic creative team and help shape fast-turnaround storytelling projects that captivate audiences. You'll spot exciting opportunities, bring together talented multi-skilled creators, and deliver original, high-impact stories.
The Job
* Create and publish engaging digital content across platforms in a fast-paced news environment.
* Generate ideas, lead editorial discussions, and produce original public-interest stories.
* Stay across breaking news, foster contacts, and track digital trends.
* Collaborate on quick-turnaround pieces and longer-term projects.
* Create stories that reflect Australia's cultural, geographic, and socio-economic variety.
About You
What you'll have:
* Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience.
* Proven ability to create original, impactful stories and contribute editorial ideas.
* Skilled in researching, reporting, and producing accurate digital content under deadlines.
* Creative storyteller across video, text, visuals and multimedia formats.
* Strong digital production, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
* Strong network-building skills, including engagement with diverse and underrepresented communities.
