About the Role
* Provide personal care and support services, including assistance with daily living activities such as showering, toileting, dressing, and more.
* Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
* Transfer individuals using hoists and slide sheets, and provide general assistance with mobility and movement.
* Perform domestic duties, such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
* Engage in community activities, like attending doctors' appointments, grocery shopping, or other social or recreational activities of choice.
Key Skills and Qualifications
* CURRENT FIRST AID AND CPR CERTIFICATES ARE ESSENTIAL FOR THIS ROLE.
* A VALID BLUE CARD (WORKING WITH CHILDREN CARD) IS REQUIRED.
* NDIS WORKER SCREENING CHECK (WORKING WITH INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES, FORMERLY A YELLOW CARD) IS MANDATORY.
* COMMITMENT TO INFECTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL MEASURES, INCLUDING THE USE OF PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE), IS CRUCIAL.
* A CURRENT DRIVER'S LICENSE AND VEHICLE ARE NECESSARY FOR TRAVEL TO CLIENT LOCATIONS.
* A SMARTPHONE WITH AN iOS 13.0 OR HIGHER OPERATING SYSTEM OR AN ANDROID 6.0 OR HIGHER OPERATING SYSTEM IS REQUIRED FOR JOB-RELATED COMMUNICATION.
