Community Support Specialist

We are recruiting for a Community orientated Support Worker to work primarily in the Bundaberg North area.
Schedule: 2 shifts a week at 6 hours each, must be flexible with days. Due to expansion, hours can increase over time.
The participant is neurodivergent, if you can connect with ADHD and ASD participants we would like to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with clients, their families, and other stakeholders to create engaging support experiences
2. Engage clients in meaningful activities that foster social connections and skill development
3. Ensure a safe environment for clients
4. Promote independence and empower clients to make choices
5. Document client progress and report any concerns to the relevant team members
6. Experience in supporting individuals with Neurodivergence is desired
7. Certificate III in Individual Disability Support or relevant qualification preferred
8. Current first aid and CPR certification
9. Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
10. Current NDIS Workers Screening Card and a Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
11. Availability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
