About the Role
As the Workshop Foreman, you will guide a team of accessory fitters and technicians, ensuring all electrical and accessory installations are completed accurately and efficiently. You will oversee day to day workshop operations, maintain a safe and organised environment and champion a fix it right the first time approach. This role reports directly to the Branch Manager.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support fitters, technicians and trainees to ensure daily readiness and productive workflow
* Ensure accurate clocking on and off for all jobs
* Provide technical advice and hands on guidance to ensure accessories are installed correctly
* Keep up to date with fitting requirements and dealer product changes
* Maintain the workshop to 4WD Central 5S standards of cleanliness, safety and organisation
* Monitor performance, productivity and efficiency within the workshop
* Report any missing, damaged or faulty equipment promptly
* Complete quality checks on all vehicles before handover
* Conduct workshop meetings, toolbox talks and safety conversations
Required Skills and Experience
* Minimum 3 to 5 years experience as a fitter or technician
* Strong understanding of the automotive industry
* Confidence in leading and motivating a team
* Ability to work independently and maintain a high standard of productivity
* Strong initiative and drive
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
* Technical aptitude and problem solving capability
* Previous experience in a workshop leadership role
* Experience coaching or mentoring trainees
