The CWA is recruiting a Package Manager to play a critical role in the off‐site manufacture and delivery of complex fabricated components for the Sizewell C project. This role sits within the Transverse Manufacturing team and focuses on managing a Tier 1 supply chain partner responsible for nuclear‐grade fabrication activities. This is a high‐impact opportunity to work on a once‐in‐a‐generation infrastructure programme, ensuring right‐first‐time delivery and seamless integration from factory to site.

Key Responsibilities

* Act as the day‐to‐day engineering interface with the Tier 1 sub‐contractor.
* Manage off‐site fabrication of complex steel components, modular assemblies and embedded parts.
* Ensure early and accurate interpretation of engineering design releases and interface requirements.
* Coordinate engineering, design, manufacturing and construction teams to avoid rework and late changes.
* Support the transition from manufacturing through to on‐site installation and integration.
* Champion safety, quality and right‐first‐time delivery across the supply chain.

What we're looking for

The successful candidate will be accountable for technical oversight, supplier performance and delivery assurance within a highly regulated environment.

Core Responsibilities

* Lead technical coordination across engineering, manufacturing and construction disciplines.
* Review and approve manufacturing drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
* Manage RFIs, FCRs, NCRs and maintain configuration control in line with SZC governance.
* Ensure compliance with nuclear‐grade quality requirements, including welding, NDT and material traceability.
* Identify and mitigate risks across the manufacturing lifecycle.
* Support and guide junior engineers within the team.
* Build strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and Tier 1 suppliers.

Candidates will typically bring

* A degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent).
* Significant experience in off‐site fabrication of complex components within large infrastructure projects.
* Strong understanding of nuclear or similarly regulated environments.
* Proven supplier and stakeholder management capability.
* Clear communication skills and sound technical judgement.
* Eligibility for UK security vetting (normally requiring UK residency for at least three of the past five years).

What we will offer you

The CWA is a single delivery organisation made up of the client (Sizewell C) and three parent companies – Balfour Beatty, Bouygues and Laing O'Rourke – which offer industry‐leading packages, including market‐leading salaries, generous annual leave entitlements, pension scheme and other flexible benefits.
