The Opportunity
Join our new CDS team in Ballarat VIC as a Driver Leading Hand and make a real impact in container collection and recycling. You'll support the Operations Supervisor, assist drivers, promote safety, and drive a rear lift truck.
This is a permanent full-time role which includes Friday and Saturday afternoons.
As a Driver – Leading Hand, you will be responsible for:
- Driving a rear lift truck
- Helping with distributing drivers, managing run sheets and work orders
- Act as the primary contact for truck breakdowns, swiftly resolving issues to minimise downtime
- Monitoring daily schedules ensuring work has been completed
- Demonstrate agility in handling unexpected challenges, making on-the-spot decisions to keep operations running smoothly
About You
- HR Licence with proven experience is essential
- Available for a 2PM start including Friday and Saturday afternoons
- Knowledge around basic fatigue management
- Excellent communication and basic computer skills
- Strong commitment to safety and a willingness to work as part of a team
