Kellys Mitre 10 is a proudly independent, locally owned hardware store located in Wodonga. We're known for our expert advice, extensive product knowledge, and welcoming in-store experience - and we're looking for a customer-focused team member who shares those values.

As part of our Customer Service team, you'll play a key role in supporting both retail and trade customers. You'll be the friendly face customers meet at the front counter, the helpful voice on the phone, and the calm, capable presence behind a smooth-running store.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and is as comfortable with administration and systems as they are with customer interaction.


Key responsibilities:

* Greet and assist customers with enquiries in a warm, professional manner.
* Provide knowledgeable advice and guidance across our range of hardware, trade, garden, and animal produce products.
* Operate point-of-sale systems efficiently and accurately, including handling transactions and returns.
* Respond to phone enquiries and support online order fulfilment (e.g. click-and-collect).
* Keep the store tidy, organised and well-stocked - particularly in high-traffic areas.
* Accurately manage inventory, stock replenishment and ticketing tasks.
* Follow store processes and contribute to improvements in workflow and service.
* Assist with general administrative duties and support team operations through effective system use.
* Work collaboratively with the team to ensure a smooth, safe and positive in-store experience.


What we're looking for:

* Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing environment.
* A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently.
* Strong communication skills and a natural customer-first approach.
* Confidence using digital systems, with strong attention to detail on administrative tasks.
* A genuine interest in improving processes and contributing ideas to enhance store operations.
* The ability to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced environment.
* A team player who enjoys supporting others and building strong relationships.
* Interest or experience in hardware, trade, garden, or animal care products is an advantage.
