Sales Coordinator
Government & Community Projects
Camerons Carpet Court is a locally owned Far North Queensland business with over 40 years of experience supplying flooring and window furnishings across residential, commercial, healthcare, government and community housing projects.
We are seeking a motivated and reliable person to join our Government & Community Projects team in a junior sales and coordination role.
This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys variety in their day, communicates well with people from all walks of life and takes pride in getting the details right. The role combines quoting, measuring, relationship management and project coordination across a wide range of commercial and community-based work throughout Cairns and surrounding regions.
You will work closely with builders, contractors, housing providers and our internal team to help coordinate projects from initial enquiry through to completion.
What the role involves:
* Site measures and quoting
* Assisting with commercial, healthcare, government and housing projects
* Liaising with builders, contractors and tenants
* Working with agreed contract and SOA pricing structures
* Coordinating flooring and window furnishing projects
* Administrative and contract support work
* Travelling throughout Cairns and surrounding regions as required
* Working across occupied homes, active construction sites and commercial environments
* Residential sales and quoting to help develop broader product knowledge and estimating experience across both domestic and commercial work
What we’re looking for:
* Strong attention to detail
* Good communication and people skills
* A practical and solutions-focused attitude
* Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
* Strong organisational skills
* Sound computer literacy
* Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
* Willingness to learn and develop within the role
* Queensland Driver Licence (mandatory)
* Full Australian working rights (mandatory)
Previous experience in flooring, construction, estimating, customer service, housing or project coordination is highly regarded, however attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are more important to us than direct industry experience.
What we offer:
* Stable long-term role with an established FNQ business
* Supportive team environment with ongoing training
* Opportunity to develop into a more senior sales role over time
* Company phone and laptop provided
* Shared company vehicle available for work-related travel
* Annual performance bonus
* Guaranteed Christmas closure period
This is a part-time position and may include occasional Saturday work as required.
If you are reliable, practical and looking for an opportunity to build a long-term career within a well-established local business, we would love to hear from you.
