Key Performance Officer

This role ensures the delivery of best practice knowledge and skills in a clinical leadership setting. Ensures safe practice, high-quality outcomes, and contemporary management.

The Key Performance Officer will demonstrate:

* Autonomous clinical and professional practice;
* Decision making in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team;
* Effective application of clinical governance principles;
* Professional and clinical expertise through integration of strategies for education, research, and workforce development.

The Key Performance Officer will provide data analysis to inform service delivery strategies and flow improvement decisions.

Responsibilities

* Provides clinical expertise, guidance, mentoring, education, and consultancy to staff and patients within the Emergency Department of Ipswich Hospital;
* Ensures the delivery of evidence-based best practice Emergency Department knowledge and skills;
* Leads the Emergency Clinical Coding team, providing opportunity to optimise data quality in the Emergency Department;
* Provides data analysis to inform service delivery strategies and flow improvement decisions.

Requirements

* Demonstrated high level of clinical practice and expertise in an Emergency Department nursing context;
* Ability to work autonomously and provide independent professional judgement and expertise in problem solving and clinical management;
* Collaboration and leadership at a work unit/service area level or across professions;
* Knowledge and ability to apply quality assurance processes, including ongoing professional development opportunities and clinical supervision;
* Proven interpersonal, problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
